We realize this word means different things to all of us. So let's have a conversation about it. Below is one our customers thoughts:
Often a negative reference to independent women who have higher standards of maintaining at their own expense (I.e. hair did, nails done, etc.) not as a result of trying to be out done.
The Be Bougie brand, to me, celebrates us women who are Beautifully Owning Uniqueness Godly Inspired Excellence (B.O.U.G.I.E.) This is the quintessential essence of what a woman should aspire to be - Bougie.
Not a negative but a positive. Wanting more for ourselves and not accepting less. As women we should be empowered to be more, dare to believe we can and are more than the status quo. Encouraging ourselves and other women to embrace ourselves as beautiful, unique, and always keeping God at the center to inspire excellence.
Through this brand I hope that you too will Be Bougie.
